About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Compass Group UK & Ireland. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of the kitchen and staff in the absence of the Head Chef.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide guidance and support to kitchen staff to ensure they are preparing and presenting high-quality food that meets our company standards.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensure that all kitchen staff follow correct food and hygiene standards, and that the kitchen is always presentable.
  • Stock Management: Communicate with the Head Chef on a regular basis regarding stock levels and participate in the recruitment process as required.
  • Team Development: Lead by example and provide a 'hands-on' management approach to develop and motivate the team.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar position is preferred but not essential.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to carry out manual handling, and confident in the use of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
