Role Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Operations Business Support Team as a Modern Apprentice. As a key member of the team, you will provide administrative support to various services across the organization, including Trade Waste, Insurance, Housing Strategy, Parks & Environment, and Road Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general office administration tasks, such as operating shared mailboxes and answering calls.
  • Use bespoke software to allocate enquiries to the appropriate people.
  • Deal with enquiries from members of the public.
  • Record information into various databases and spreadsheets.
  • Process insurance claims and memorial bench requests.

Requirements

In accordance with Scottish Borders Council priorities, you must be aged at the point of starting the apprenticeship to qualify for this position. A good standard of general education is also required.
