Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated individuals with strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities who are committed to collaborating effectively within a team environment.

The role involves executing routine and scheduled maintenance tasks as instructed by the Senior Grounds and Gardens Officer and the senior team at EFM sites.

Responsibilities include maintaining gardens and grounds, ensuring waste bins are emptied and litter is collected throughout the premises, cleaning pathways, performing minor repairs to outdoor furniture, managing snow and ice clearance, and sweeping the grounds, including all parking areas.

The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a courteous, helpful, and discreet demeanor while accommodating reasonable requests from the management team.

As part of a team, this position provides a comprehensive service in all weather conditions. Flexibility in work practices is essential to adapt to changing operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform all maintenance tasks related to the grounds and execute relevant gardening activities across designated sites.

- Deliver an effective horticultural service in alignment with Trust Policies and Procedures, as well as all applicable legislation.

- Address planned and requested maintenance tasks for all grounds and gardens managed by the organization.

- Maintain litter-free environments, ensuring main entrances are clean, swept, and power-washed as necessary.

- Change outdoor waste bins on a daily basis.

- Ensure all pathways, entrances, parking lots, and walkways are clear of obstructions from trees, leaves, shrubs, weeds, or other plant materials.

- Water new plantings, containers, and hanging baskets seasonally or until plants reach maturity.

- Control and remove weeds from the site.

- Mow, strim, and prune according to seasonal requirements.
