We are looking for a dedicated personal care support specialist to assist a young individual in their daily activities. This role involves providing support for approximately 10 hours each week, with opportunities for additional hours as needed throughout the year.
About the Individual and Support Needed:
The ideal candidate will help the client maintain their independence and foster social connections. Key responsibilities include accompanying the client to various community activities and ensuring their safety both at home and during outings.
The client enjoys engaging in crafts, knitting, shopping, and various recreational activities. Possible outings may include visits to coffee shops, cultural events, and participation in sports such as boccia, trampolining, and swimming.
As part of the care team, it is essential to be dependable, compassionate, and respectful. Strong communication skills are crucial, along with the flexibility to handle diverse tasks.
Main Responsibilities Include:
- Medication administration
- Personal care assistance as required
- Support for mental well-being
- Community engagement
- Accompanying to various appointments
Qualifications:
Training will be provided to meet the specific needs of the client and adhere to regulatory standards. An enhanced DBS check is mandatory, and a valid UK driving license is required. Commitment to long-term care, adherence to company policies, and a compassionate approach are essential attributes.
