About the Role

Your new company is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Finance Operations Manager to join their busy finance team. This exciting opportunity will give you the chance to work with a prestigious employer in Glasgow and make a real impact on the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the finance operations team to deliver an excellent service and ensure adequate cost controls are in place.
  • Plan and organise work that aligns to the finance strategy and empower team leaders to make informed decisions and drive change.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage a team of 3 and contribute to the development of the finance operations control framework.
  • Ensure robust monthly finance reporting, including variance analysis and commentary, and review external party returns.
  • Play a key role in risk management and control, ensuring the Finance Operations Control Framework is adhered to and standard operations procedural documentation is fit for purpose.

Requirements:

  • Good experience in a similar role and qualified via ACCA, CA, ACA, CIMA, or CIPFA.
  • Post-qualified experience leading a team and good leadership skills, with the ability to empower team members.
  • Good technical skills and the ability to deal with a range of stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Experience in driving change and a willingness to make continuous improvements.
