We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Subscription Strategy to lead our global subscription acquisition and retention efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive subscription strategy to drive revenue growth and customer retention
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deploy ROI-driven paid acquisition and retention tactics
  • Analyze market trends and customer data to inform our subscription strategy and product development
  • Articulate the value of our subscription offerings to current and future audiences
  • Deploy data-driven tools to engage and convert our audience
  • Develop real-time reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Build and manage a high-performing team to serve as the subscription center of excellence
Key Deliverables
  • Develop a subscription proposition with insights to guide product development
  • Develop and execute a subscription go-to-market strategy
  • Deliver subscription revenue and ARPU targets and strategic plans
  • Drive customer churn and retention targets and strategic plans
  • Meet customer CAC and LTV targets and strategic plans
  • Implement a continuous testing plan for offers and conversion funnels
  • Drive data-driven analysis to improve audience acquisition, conversion, and retention
About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Proven leadership experience in the online media sector, with a strong record of accomplishments in the news sector
  • Strategic thinking and ability to analyze business opportunities and customer needs
  • Hands-on approach and ability to work effectively at a detailed level
  • Proven track record in subscription acquisition, conversion, and retention, ideally in an international or business news environment
  • Extensive data and analytical skills
  • Proven track record of success in complex and matrixed corporate business environments
  • Experience working in a global organization
