Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Whittington Health NHS Trust. As a Senior CAMHS Clinician, you will play a key role in providing specialist mental health input to children and young people, as well as supporting the development of our services.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Clinical Practice
  • Provide specialist mental health input to children and young people through a range of clinical activities, including assessments, interventions, and risk management.
  • Work collaboratively with local authority practitioners to achieve good social, emotional, and mental health outcomes for children and young people.
Consultation and Training
  • Provide consultation to Bright Futures practitioners to support their understanding of presenting social, emotional, and mental health difficulties and intervention delivery.
  • Develop and deliver training and workshops for Bright Futures practitioners on child mental health, emotional wellbeing, and development.
Service Development and Evaluation
  • Contribute to the development, evaluation, and monitoring of our CAMHS services, including the integration of user participation, outcomes measures, and evidence-based intervention approaches.
  • Undertake project management, including audit and service evaluation, to help develop and evaluate service provision.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in child and adolescent mental health services.
  • Strong clinical skills and expertise in assessment, intervention, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training and workshops.
  • Knowledge of service development and evaluation principles.
