About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior CAMHS Clinician to join our Home Treatment Team in North London. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development of our service for children and young people.

As a Senior CAMHS Clinician, you will be responsible for assessing the care needs of children and young people presenting in crisis and developing/implementing care plans to meet their needs. You will provide direct clinical interventions and support to children and young people, as well as their parents and carers.

You will work collaboratively with service users, parents, carers, and other professionals to provide a comprehensive and effective service. Your expertise will be essential in devising and delivering therapeutic programs for children and adolescents in accordance with best practice guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the care needs of children and young people presenting in crisis and develop/implement care plans to meet their needs.
  • Provide direct clinical interventions and support to children and young people, as well as their parents and carers.
  • Work collaboratively with service users, parents, carers, and other professionals to provide a comprehensive and effective service.
  • Devise and deliver therapeutic programs for children and adolescents in accordance with best practice guidelines.
  • Ensure risk assessments regarding physical and psychological safety are undertaken as appropriate.

Person Specification
  • RMN, RNLD, SW, or OT equivalent first-level registration.
  • Relevant degree or postgraduate diploma/equivalent level of experience.
  • Minimum 3 years clinical experience in the community and/or hospital-based services.
  • Demonstrable experience at Band 6 or equivalent.
  • Experience of the Supervision process and ability to offer effective supervision to staff at different levels.
  • Evidence of ability to effectively manage a community service.
