We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anaesthetist to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a Consultant in Anaesthesia, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of anaesthetists to deliver safe and efficient anaesthetic services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist anaesthetic services for elective and emergency care, including preoperative assessment and postoperative care.
- Lead a team of anaesthetists to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure the smooth running of theatre lists.
- Develop and implement new ways of working to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute to departmental quality improvement activities.
- Supervise and train junior medical staff, including medical students and junior doctors.
- Contribute to research and education, including teaching and training undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Full GMC registration and a specialist qualification in Anaesthesia (FRCA or equivalent).
- Experience of leading a team and managing a clinical workload.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and patients.
- Ability to apply sound clinical judgment and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to continuing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and guidelines.
