We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Anaesthesia to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a key member of our anaesthetic department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide safe and efficient anaesthetic services for elective and emergency care
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and theatre teams to ensure smooth running of theatre lists
- Support the Consultant-delivered Perioperative Medicine Service and high-risk anaesthetic clinics
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute to departmental quality improvement activities
- Supervise and train junior medical staff, and be involved in appraising and assessing juniors

Person Specification- Full GMC registration and MB;BS or equivalent qualification
- Fully Accredited for Higher Specialist Training or eligible for inclusion on the Specialist Register within 6 months
- FRCA or equivalent qualification and current BLS Certification or equivalent
- Excellent clinical skills and experience in anaesthesia, with ability to apply sound clinical judgment to problems
