Consultant in Obstetric Anaesthesia

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant in Obstetric Anaesthesia to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our obstetric anaesthetic service.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in obstetric anaesthesia and a passion for delivering excellent patient care. You will be responsible for providing specialist high-risk obstetric anaesthesia outpatient clinic work, participating in the obstetric consultant anaesthetist non-resident on-call rota, and supporting the anaesthetic department in delivering high-quality elective and emergency theatre sessions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist high-risk obstetric anaesthesia outpatient clinic work
- Participate in the obstetric consultant anaesthetist non-resident on-call rota
- Support the anaesthetic department in delivering high-quality elective and emergency theatre sessions
- Work flexibly to support the workload and cover for colleagues' annual leave and other authorised absences
- Full GMC registration
- MB;BS or Equivalent
- Fully Accredited for Higher Specialist Training or will be eligible for inclusion on the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date
- Management training on an accredited course
- Awareness of Service Development issues
