Job Description

Glen Hydro Consulting Limited is seeking a highly experienced individual to join our team as a Technical Operational Support Manager – Hydro. This is an exciting opportunity to support the growth of our service, providing technical, operational, and administrative support to hydro schemes across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical and operational support to hydro schemes, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop effective solutions.
  • Manage suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Contribute to the development of business strategies and initiatives to drive growth and improvement.
Requirements:
  • Relevant technical qualification (engineering, systems control, renewable energy) at certificate or degree level or significant experience in a technical field.
  • Highly organized and systems-focused individual with excellent communication skills.
  • Proven experience in system fault finding and resolution, client-facing, and service management.
  • Ability to consistently and reliably follow processes and maintain excellent record-keeping.
  • Experience in the hydro or wider renewables sector or familiarity with industrial control systems is beneficial.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary range £50-60,000 dependent on experience.
  • Full-time role with hybrid home working possible.
  • Regular travel throughout Scotland, with occasional overnight stays.
