Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regulatory Engagement Director to join our team at the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH). As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping our regulatory approach and ensuring effective engagement with social housing landlords.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of our regulatory strategy, ensuring it aligns with our purpose and objectives.
  • Manage and oversee the delivery of regulatory activities, including inspections and responsive engagement with landlords.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including landlords, tenants, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to our teams, ensuring they have the necessary resources and expertise to deliver high-quality regulation.
  • Collaborate with our leadership team to drive organizational change and improvement, ensuring we remain effective and efficient in our regulatory approach.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a regulatory or compliance role, with a strong understanding of social housing regulation.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and information, with a strong understanding of financial regulation and management.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field, such as governance, risk management, or finance.
