Deputy Nursery Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team. As a key member of our nursery management team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Nursery Manager and ensuring the smooth operation of our setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and Deputise: Provide cover for the Nursery Manager as and when required, ensuring continuity of care and management.
  • Staff Development: Assist with staff training and development, helping to build a skilled and confident team.
  • Nursery Events: Attend regular staff meetings and participate in nursery events outside core hours, promoting a positive and engaging environment.
  • Parent Communication: Liaise with parents and carers to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring that we provide the best possible care for each child.
  • EYFS Implementation: Support the roll-out of the new EYFS framework, ensuring that our setting is compliant and providing high-quality education.
  • Safeguarding: Ensure that safeguarding is at the heart of all our activities, prioritizing the well-being and safety of our children.
  • Building Maintenance: Assist with the upkeep of our building and maintenance of equipment, furnishings, and fittings.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience working in a similar role, with a strong understanding of early years education and care.
  • Qualifications: Full and relevant Early Years Qualification (Level 3+).
  • Knowledge: Knowledgeable in areas relating to EYFS, with a strong understanding of child development and learning.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, parents, and carers.
  • Leadership: A team player with the ability to lead and motivate a team, with experience of managing staff and resources.
