Deputy Nursery Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team at RCM Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and education for our children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Nursery Manager in the overall management of the nursery, including staff development and training.
  • Assist with the implementation of the new EYFS framework and ensure that all staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Liaise with parents and carers to ensure that the needs of children are met, considering parental choice in terms of care given.
  • Support staff in creating fun and engaging learning environments both indoors and outdoors.
  • Assist with the upkeep of the building and maintenance of equipment, furnishings, and fittings.
  • Ensure that safeguarding is core to all activities and report any concerns to the Nursery Manager.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a similar role, preferably in an Early Years setting.
  • Full and relevant Early Years Qualification (Level 3+).
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework and its implementation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
