About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programmatic Business Director to join our team at Assembly, a global marketing services company. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining programmatic and display strategy, developing new client relationships, and overseeing the activation of campaigns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Senior Client Handling and Relationship Management: The Programmatic Business Director will act as the senior point of contact for programmatic across a portfolio of clients, assuming ultimate responsibility for all implemented programs and managing escalations.
  • Programmatic Trading and Planning: The successful candidate will line manage programmatic traders, mentor and support the wider display team in programmatic campaign planning, and act as the strategic expert in programmatic, working with ADs, AMs, and Planners to define frameworks that hit our client's KPIs and business objectives.
  • Cross-Selling and Business Development: The Programmatic Business Director will work with the Head of Display, and our Sales Team to develop and deliver pitches, with a view to grow global programmatic services, and cross-sell display to Assembly's existing client base by working with Business Directors to proactively identify opportunities.
  • Emerging Trends and Technologies: The successful candidate will act as an internal expert on emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities in the area of programmatic, nurturing publisher and Ad tech partner relationships, and work with the Head of Display, Ad Tech team, Data Scientists, and Assembly Developers to develop innovative programmatic solutions and new products.

Requirements
  • Senior Client Handling and Relationship Management Experience: Essential
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Needed for internal client and publisher relationship management
  • Wide Knowledge and Understanding of the Programmatic Landscape: Essential
  • Programmatic Trading and Planning Experience: Essential
  • Additional Experience of Running or Managing Digital Marketing Activity: Beneficial
  • Demonstrable Experience of Delivering Best-in-Class Digital Campaigns: Beneficial
  • Management of Activity across International Markets: Preferential but not required
