Principal DevOps Engineer (AWS and GitOps)

Are you a seasoned DevOps professional with expertise in transitioning traditional systems to AWS within the financial or banking sectors? This role may be an excellent fit for you

In this position, you will become part of a global technology consultancy, engaging in innovative Greenfield projects for prestigious international clients. Your key responsibilities will encompass the automation and enhancement of DevOps workflows, constructing CI/CD pipelines, and overseeing client platforms, primarily focusing on the migration of legacy systems to AWS for a significant client.

Your additional duties will include the development and deployment of containerized applications utilizing Docker, managing Kubernetes environments, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated infrastructure setup, and diagnosing performance challenges. You will require proficiency in AWS, experience with CI/CD utilizing Argo CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm, along with a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle and DevOps culture.


Location / Remote Work:

This role offers flexibility with the option to work remotely for a portion of the week.


About You:

  • Proven experience in migrating legacy systems to AWS within the financial services or banking industry
  • In-depth knowledge of DevOps principles and practices
  • Extensive experience with AWS technologies
  • Expertise in building CI/CD pipelines using Argo CD and managing them through GitLab CI / GitLab Runners
  • Skilled in Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for application containerization and deployment
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field
  • Strong collaborative skills with excellent communication abilities
