Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

Compensation: Up to £110,000 + Bonus

Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 2/3 days in office

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to join our esteemed technology division at Cloud Decisions. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to work with one of the UK's leading brands in the cloud space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Design: Automate the setup, scaling, and management of resources utilizing tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and ARM.
  • Collaboration with Architects: Partner with the Cloud Solution Architect team to define business requirements and translate them into deployable Azure solutions.
  • Documentation Creation: Collaborate with the Cloud Platform Engineering team to produce clear and comprehensive documentation for various stakeholders.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement centralized controls to ensure adherence to organizational standards and best practices.
  • CI/CD Process Management: Automate deployment processes and facilitate end-to-end testing of developed components.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience with IaC Tools: A minimum of 5 years of experience with Terraform, with knowledge of ARM and Bicep being advantageous.
  • CI/CD Knowledge: At least 5 years in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role, familiar with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
  • Scripting Proficiency: 5+ years of experience in at least one scripting language, preferably PowerShell, with additional knowledge in Go, Bash, or Python being beneficial.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Expertise: 5+ years focused on Microsoft Azure, with an understanding of role-based access control and governance.
  • Containerization Skills: Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AKS, and other container technologies.
