About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the Bank of America team as a Product Controller. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for supporting the business analysis for a Line of Business (LOB) across financial reporting, substantiation, and independent price verification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Apply a knowledge and understanding of financial products, processes, and inherent risks to analyze and substantiate Profit and Loss (P&L) attributes and balance sheets.
  • Business Analysis: Support the development of strategic and annual planning, performing profitability analysis, forecasting, and financial reporting for a product or general ledger account type.
  • Risk Management: Maintain financial responsibility, including accountability for accuracy of financial reporting for Profit and Loss (P&L) activities.
  • Partnerships: Partner closely with the front office, Operations, and Technology to define business finance processes and implement related technology solutions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Analyze regulatory matters, such as the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) and Recovery and Resolutions Plans (RRP), and partner with the business on submissions.
Requirements
  • Accounting Knowledge: Confident accounting knowledge is critical, ideally with comfort in both financial accounting and regulatory reporting concepts.
  • Financial Products: Exposure to credit-based fixed income financial products (bonds, loans, credit default swaps, etc).
  • Organizational Skills: Proven organizational skills required to effectively manage competing deadlines, often in a fluid environment.
  • Process Improvement: Control focus and able to improve processes.
  • Technology: Comfortable using new technology systems.
  • Accountancy Qualifications: Accountancy qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) preferred.
