About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Controller/Inventory Controller to join our material department team. As a key member of the Inventory control team, you will play a critical role in managing the supply of materials for use in production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the supply of materials from goods in to the stores warehouse and production areas.
  • Controlling the movement of materials from goods receipt to end user physically and electronically, using Excel spreadsheets and SAP systems.
  • Ensure materials are kitted and available to production in an orderly and timely way.
  • Conduct cycle counts of stock and inventory on site in the stores area.
  • Control traceability and shelf life issues for key materials.
  • Put stock away into designated locations and maintain records and databases.
  • Interact with material controllers and production staff on daily needs and issues.
  • Assist in the planning and allocation of Team workload.
  • Assist in the preparation, dissemination, and use of Team KPI to control processes and key materials.

About You

  • Experience of SAP in a manufacturing environment would be a positive advantage.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the capability of working in a pressurized, deadline-driven, but procedure-controlled production environment.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written, are required.
  • Computer literacy, with confidence in the use of standard computer packages, will need to be demonstrated.
  • Knowledge of material handling techniques and theory will be a positive advantage.
