About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at ABL Health Ltd. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality therapeutic interventions to children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions to children and young people, working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Undertake professional initial assessments of young people and develop tailored intervention plans.
  • Provide ongoing and one-off interventions to young people, including group work and peer support.
  • Develop alternatives to one-to-one therapeutic work and facilitate peer support interventions.
  • Provide information, advice, and guidance to young people and their families.
  • Maintain confidential case notes and records, ensuring timely and secure storage using our specified case management systems.
  • Develop links to other agencies and services, and have a good understanding of local services for signposting and onward referrals.
  • Manage risk and respond to child protection and safeguarding issues.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and managing a caseload.
  • Ability to assess and manage risks, and respond to concerns about child protection and safeguarding.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including listening, verbal, and written.
  • Ability to communicate with children and young people of different ages, developmental levels, and backgrounds.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Understanding and evidence of adhering to information governance and data protection policies.
  • Experience with reporting in client database packages and excellent IT skills.
  • Enhanced DBS check and willingness to travel.
