Position: Hygiene Maintenance Operative

As a Hygiene Maintenance Operative, you will be instrumental in ensuring our practice meets compliance standards, providing a safe and pristine environment for our dental professionals and patients.

You will uphold the highest cleanliness standards for both your colleagues and our clientele.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning assigned areas
  • Adhering to the cleanliness protocols of a dental facility
  • Complying with Health & Safety regulations, COSHH, and all pertinent guidelines
  • Maintaining thorough cleaning documentation – daily, weekly, monthly, biannually, and annually
  • Understanding and applying the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2007 and 2021 along with the National Colour Coding Scheme
  • Implementing Infection Control measures
  • Caring for cleaning equipment
  • Ensuring knowledge and use of Personal Protective Equipment
  • Handling and operating electrical cleaning devices
  • Adhering to lone worker policies and conducting risk assessments
  • Managing waste (excluding hazardous or sharp waste)
  • Upholding confidentiality standards
  • Executing any other reasonable requests from management

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a similar cleaning role
  • Familiarity with COSHH regulations is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Dependable with excellent punctuality
  • Capability to work autonomously
  • Requirement to obtain client vetting clearance for the position
