About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hygiene Operative to join our team at Allied Milling and Baking. As a Hygiene Operative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, equipment, and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure daily cleaning schedules are adhered to and assigned areas meet required standards.
- Act as part of a team to assist in meeting departmental Key Performance Indicators.
- Follow instruction, training, and guidelines set out by the Hygiene department.
- Identify areas with potential associated risks to food safety and raise actions accordingly.
- Report defects or potential hazards to the Hygiene Coordinator.
- Assist in the safe removal of bakery waste.
- Clean and litter pick the site perimeter and monitor pest control.
- Replenish and clean site facilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience within a similar environment, preferably within food manufacturing.
- A recognised Food Hygiene qualification.
- Pest Control and Chemical Safety awareness are desirable.
- Computer literate; fully conversant with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- IOSH Managing Safely would be advantageous.
