Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Chemical Process Sector

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative mechanical design engineer to join our team at Onyx-Conseil for a contract position in the chemical/process sector. As part of this exciting opportunity, you will be responsible for designing packaged equipment including structural steel, pressure vessels, and piping.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Development: Perform or coordinate mechanical design (structure, vessels, piping, equipment) for process packages, ensuring timely submission of the deliverable.
  2. Design Review and Approval: Prepare and review design inputs, mechanical engineering deliverables, drawings, and reports.
  3. Design Compliance: Ensure designs meet codes, standards, project specifications, and engineering practices.
  4. Issue Resolution: Resolve design issues with clients, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  5. Customer Support: Address customer comments and technical clarifications.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Experience: Minimum of five years' experience working with Process industries.
  2. Technical Skills: Familiarity with ASME Codes, Staad Pro experience, and PV elite experience.
  3. Leadership Experience: Senior/Principle Mechanical design engineering experience.

Contract Details:

This is a contract role for 12 months.
