Mechanical Design Engineer Opportunity

Samuel Frank is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in South-East Staffordshire. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing special purpose machinery and equipment using SolidWorks 3D CAD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks 3D CAD.
  • Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and maintain accurate records of projects.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions meet customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of design principles, including Design for Manufacture and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve technical issues and improve design processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in mechanical design and engineering.
Requirements:
  • Recognised Engineering qualification, such as an apprenticeship, HNC, or degree.
  • Experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD and design principles.
  • Strong understanding of materials science and heat treatment/coating.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex ideas.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
