Mechanical Design Engineer Opportunity

Samuel Frank Associates is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in South Staffordshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks 3D CAD software.
  • Create detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) and maintain accurate project records.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions meet manufacturing and quality requirements.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of design principles, including Design for Manufacture and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Work with legacy 2D drawings and create design solutions from briefs.
  • Stay up-to-date with materials knowledge, including steels and their heat treatment/coating.
  • Manage technical projects with tight deadlines and deliver high-quality results.

About the Role:

This is a permanent position based in the design office, with occasional site visits. The ideal candidate will have around 6-10 years of experience in mechanical design and development.
