Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join our team at the Isle of Raasay Distillery. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Financial Controller and assisting with various financial tasks, including bookkeeping, accounts management, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Financial Controller with day-to-day financial tasks, including bookkeeping, accounts management, and financial analysis.
- Provide administrative support to the finance department, including answering telephone and email enquiries, and maintaining accurate records.
- Manage online booking systems, payments, and reconciliations to the financial ledger.
- Support cash handling and till control, including creating and updating spreadsheets of daily card transactions to reconcile bank accounts.
- Assist with the creation and management of Purchase Orders and incorporation into the Odoo ERP system.
- Review and process reimbursements and credit notes, and maintain accurate records of invoices and tax payments.
- Assist with the creation of invoices on Xero and Odoo, and manage direct debit payment schedules and contacts on Odoo and Xero.
- Reconcile accounts, identify and address any account discrepancies, and provide financial analysis and reporting as required.
- Aid with reports on financial projections, including liquidity and cash flow.
- Assist with HMRC documentation, including PAYE, VAT, and Duty requirements.
Requirements:
- Numerically capable and proficient in accounting software, including Xero, Odoo, and EposNow.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a high level of IT competency.
- Excellent time management and cooperation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good understanding of bookkeeping procedures and accounting fundamentals.

Internal: Financial Controller, Financial Director, Managing Director, Investor & Controller, Operations Director, Commercial Director, eCommerce Manager, Assistant Manager, Fulfilment Lead, Operations Lead, Hospitality Lead, Visitor Centre Lead, Bar Manager, and Sales Team.
External: Suppliers, Industry, and Consumers.
