Facilities Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our extensive property portfolio.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Technical Services Manager in the provision of facilities services to the Street Furniture & Assets product. This will involve coordinating the efforts of engineers and contractors, ensuring compliance with legislation and policies, and providing technical support and guidance as needed.
You will work closely with our team to identify training and development needs, provide logistical support, and ensure that best practices are shared across the organization. Your strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills will be essential in achieving our goals and delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the efforts of engineers and contractors to ensure safe and efficient maintenance of our property portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and policies, including New Roads Street Works legislation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to engineers and contractors as needed.
- Identify training and development needs within the team and provide support to ensure that best practices are shared.
- Work closely with the Technical Services Manager to coordinate and plan works, ensuring that our goals and objectives are met.
- Strong technical knowledge of the Street Furniture & Assets product and processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good commercial and business awareness, with the ability to think innovatively.
- A full manual UK driving licence is required.
