Facilities Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities / Property Manager to join our team at Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the Technical Services Manager in the provision of a specific facilities service to the Street Furniture & Assets product within a broad-based geographical area.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify training and development needs within the team and provide guidance and support to ensure they are met.
- Be the first point of contact for engineers in resolving technical and process issues, providing logistical support and liaising with the Technical Services Manager to coordinate resource.
- Work independently, coordinating the efforts of Street Furniture based engineers and contractors, ensuring best practice is shared and implemented.
- Liaise and coordinate with local authorities to ensure compliance with NRWS Legislation and provide traffic management support and plans as required.
- Apply knowledge in a range of technical situations, making personal judgements on how to achieve best quality, cost and time objectives.
- Undertake normal work duties of an Assets Engineer within your geographic area.
- Create a culture of support, cooperation, collaboration and teamwork across the Assets product.
- Bring support to the Technical Services Manager to ensure Safety, Compliance, Efficiency and Technical Solutions.
- Have comprehensive technical knowledge of the Street Furniture & Assets product and processes.
- Be computer literate, particularly in Excel and Outlook email.
- Be able to understand and provide high levels of customer service and build relationships.
- Have good commercial and business awareness and be innovative.
- A full manual UK driving licence is required.
