About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Finance Business Partner to join our Commercial Finance team at Poundland, offering the flexibility of hybrid work arrangements.

In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with our retail division, providing essential financial insights and strategic support to enhance our retail operations.

Your Responsibilities
  • Engaging with the retail leadership team to deliver financial analysis and insights that drive informed decision-making and enhance business performance.
  • Assisting in the budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes for the retail sector.
  • Evaluating retail KPIs and trends, providing actionable insights to boost profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating with other finance departments to ensure precise financial reporting and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Leading financial initiatives and projects aimed at improving operational performance within the retail space.
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to the retail management team, offering guidance on financial strategies and business operations.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Demonstrated experience in a finance business partnering capacity, preferably within a retail context.
  • Qualified accountant, either fully or partially.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the proficiency to interpret complex financial data and deliver clear, actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting methodologies.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
