About the Role

We are seeking an experienced mental health professional to join our team at the University of Sheffield's Student Mental Health, Counselling and Therapies Service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage mental health difficulties, including risk assessment and management.
  • Provide mental health guidance and support to students through the Mental Health Consultation.
  • Screen students' self-referral forms and provide advice on student mental health to University staff via the Mental Health Guidance and Liaison Desk.
  • Work closely with other areas within Student Support Services and the NHS to provide comprehensive support to students.

Requirements

  • Clinical qualification and registration with a relevant professional body.
  • Experience in assessing and managing mental health difficulties, including risk assessment and management.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external partners to provide comprehensive support.
