Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Kingfisher Nursing Home, part of Westgate Healthcare. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare meals for residents, adhering to dietary requirements and nutritional guidelines
- Assist with the cleaning of serveries and kitchens on a daily basis, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment
- Collect and distribute crockery, ensuring efficient and effective service
- Carry out any reasonable request or instruction from the Home Manager or Head Cook
We are looking for an individual who shares our values of care, compassion, and respect for others. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be expected to:
- Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Be able to work in a team, demonstrating a caring nature and positive attitude
- Have an understanding of Health and Safety, Infection Control, and COSHH
- Previous experience of working in a similar position is desirable but not essential
