European Events Sales Executive

Citywire is on the lookout for a skilled European Events Sales Executive to enhance our vibrant sales team. In this engaging position, you will have the opportunity to travel extensively throughout Europe, representing Citywire at our premier events and cultivating robust relationships with both existing and prospective clients.

With over 100 events hosted annually, ranging from half-day forums and roundtable discussions to multi-day retreat-style conferences, Citywire connects asset management firms with the appropriate investor audiences in their targeted markets.

As a European Events Sales Executive, you will be instrumental in broadening Citywire's events client portfolio and strengthening our partnerships with sponsors. This dynamic sales role is ideal for motivated and ambitious individuals who excel at building connections and pursuing new ventures.

Your Responsibilities:

- Effectively communicate the advantages of Citywire events to both new and existing sponsors.

- Expand Citywire's events client network across Europe, ensuring a diverse representation of asset managers and funds at our conferences.

- Proactively identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.

- Foster and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

- Manage and develop existing client accounts with established commercial partners.

- Collaborate individually and as part of a team to achieve and surpass revenue goals for specific events and markets.

- Maintain regular communication with event sponsors through in-person meetings, calls, and emails.

- Acquire comprehensive knowledge of the European asset management sector to enrich client interactions.

- Represent the Citywire sales team at European events, engaging directly with sponsor representatives.

- Collaborate closely with other sales team members and possess a working knowledge of all Citywire products to facilitate client discussions.

- Sustain excellent relationships with teams from other Citywire departments, including event management and audience development.

- Industry Background: Proven experience in sales, preferably in event sales, with a solid understanding of the asset management industry (or a willingness to learn).

- Sales Motivation: A natural inclination for sales and exceptional relationship management abilities.

- Consultative Approach: Experience in sales and account management with a consultative mindset.

- Communication Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both with clients and colleagues.

- Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently and work outside standard office hours.

- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational capabilities, attention to detail, and superior presentation skills.

- Time Management: Outstanding time management skills and the ability to perform under pressure.

- Adaptability: A flexible attitude and capacity to adjust to evolving business requirements.

- Positive Mindset: A proactive, can-do attitude combined with tenacity and problem-solving abilities.

- Confidence: The self-assurance to propose new ideas and concepts to clients and stakeholders.

- Technical Proficiency: Competence in MS Office and familiarity with using social media platforms for business purposes.

- Language Skills: A working knowledge of a European language is advantageous but not mandatory.
