With over 100 events hosted annually, ranging from half-day forums and roundtable discussions to extensive retreat-style conferences, Citywire connects asset management firms with targeted investor audiences in their key markets.
As our European Events Sales Executive, you will be instrumental in broadening Citywire's events client portfolio and strengthening our partnerships with sponsors. This fast-paced sales position is ideal for motivated individuals who excel at networking and uncovering new business avenues.
Your Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate the advantages of Citywire events to both new and existing sponsors.
- Expand Citywire's events client network across Europe, ensuring a diverse representation of asset managers and funds at our gatherings.
- Proactively identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee and enhance existing client accounts with established commercial partners.
- Collaborate individually and as part of a team to achieve and surpass revenue goals for specific events and markets.
- Maintain regular engagement with event sponsors through in-person meetings, calls, and emails.
- Acquire comprehensive knowledge of the European asset management sector to enrich client interactions.
- Represent the Citywire sales team at European events, engaging directly with sponsor representatives.
- Collaborate closely with other sales team members and possess a working knowledge of all Citywire offerings to facilitate client discussions.
- Sustain excellent relationships with teams from other Citywire departments, including event management and audience development.
Qualifications:
- Industry Experience: Proven sales experience, preferably in event sales, with a solid understanding of the asset management sector (or a willingness to learn).
- Sales Motivation: Natural inclination towards sales and exceptional relationship management capabilities.
- Consultative Selling: Background in sales and account management with a consultative approach.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, both with clients and colleagues.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently and work outside of standard office hours.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and outstanding presentation skills.
- Time Management: Excellent time management skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
- Adaptability: Flexible mindset and capacity to adjust to evolving business requirements.
- Positive Attitude: A proactive, can-do attitude complemented by tenacity and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence: Assurance in presenting new ideas and concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office and adept at utilizing social media platforms for business purposes.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in a European language is advantageous but not mandatory.
