Role Overview

The Senior Manager of UK Tax Products is a domain authority responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and priorities for our suite of UK Tax solutions. This role encompasses the full product lifecycle, from strategic planning to execution. A deep understanding of customer and user requirements is essential, enabling effective communication of these needs across the organization. Collaborating with design and engineering teams, the manager will translate these insights into actionable priorities, compelling roadmaps, and innovative solutions. While direct leadership of a team is not a requirement, mentoring junior product managers is expected when necessary. The ability to navigate new and complex product challenges with confidence is crucial, as is the capacity to balance tactical execution with strategic foresight while coordinating across various functions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager of UK Tax Products, your responsibilities will include:

  • Visionary Leadership in the UK Tax Sector: You will possess a comprehensive understanding of the evolving UK tax landscape and legislation, driving the development of strategic solutions for UK Tax and Accounting firms within our award-winning product portfolio.
  • Product Insight Development: You will enhance your product intuition by analyzing customer challenges, business needs, and opportunities, proposing solutions with moderate guidance.
  • Creation of Exceptional Products: You will establish a clear product vision and maintain the product roadmap, working closely with development and UX teams to ensure efficient execution. This includes advocating for customer needs within engineering teams, prioritizing the product backlog based on value, and utilizing metrics to track progress.
  • Ownership and Accountability: You will take full responsibility for the performance and reliability of our UK Tax products, ensuring a positive client experience. Demonstrating resilience and the ability to learn from setbacks will be essential in promoting the product vision to colleagues.

Qualifications for Success

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Qualifications in UK Tax.
  • Proven experience in Product Management.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years in Product Management roles.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Leadership capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Design Thinking methodologies.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Effective execution skills.
