The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical governance and risk management within our Neonatal services. This will involve developing and implementing strategies to manage clinical risk effectively, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of care.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and implement clinical governance frameworks and procedures to ensure effective risk management within Neonatal services.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the multi-disciplinary team on clinical governance and risk management, ensuring that all staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with the Operational Delivery Network to develop and implement risk management strategies, both locally and regionally.
- Participate in training and education of staff within Neonatal services, promoting a proactive and positive clinical governance culture.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- NMC registration as a Nurse.
- Neonatal qualification.
- Health-related degree.
- Mentorship/teaching qualification.
- Safeguarding level 1, 2 & 3.
Desirable qualifications include:
- Health-related Master's degree.
- Basic counselling/coaching skills.
- Risk management training.
The successful candidate will have:
- Knowledge of safeguarding children and adults.
- Knowledge of clinical audit systems and processes.
- Evidence of significant clinical knowledge and experience.
- Knowledge of BAPM standards of care and national guidance.
- Experience of undertaking Datix investigations.
Desirable experience includes:
- Leading a team.
- Evaluating clinical practice through research/audit.
- Experience of project/quality and performance management.
- Developing new practices.
