Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Learning Disability or Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a patient-centred service where your input makes a difference.

About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide clinical and professional leadership to nurses and healthcare assistants within your area of responsibility. You will support the Unit Manager and Clinical Leads in implementing policy, protocol, and service development, and demonstrate specialist clinical skills in practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and professional leadership to nurses and healthcare assistants
  • Support the Unit Manager and Clinical Leads in implementing policy and service development
  • Demonstrate specialist clinical skills in practice and provide support and advice to colleagues
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Registration with the NMC as a Registered Learning Disability or Mental Health Nurse
  • Understanding of relevant policy and drivers, such as the Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act
  • Experience of managing a caseload and leading shifts
  • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
