Production Associate

STERIS is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Operative to join our team in Syston, Leicester. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective manufacture of our products, adhering to high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Operate production machinery to manufacture a range of products, including cartoning, guillotines, flow wrapping, and labeling.
- Perform manual packing and boxing activities, ensuring accurate and efficient completion of tasks.
- Conduct product inspections, documenting any defects or issues.
- Participate in 6S activities, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Use mechanical aids, such as pallet trucks, safely and efficiently.
- Understand and adhere to the organization's Quality Assurance systems, taking responsibility for updating processes as necessary.
- Undertake training and development to ensure competent performance of tasks.
- Deputize for supervisors and provide support across production departments as required.
- Support lean objectives and participate in lean activities to drive business goals.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or 1 year's experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office and manufacturing programs.
- Excellent attention to detail, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to operate machinery, perform repetitive tasks, and read quality documentation.
- Initiative and proactive approach, with ability to demonstrate these qualities.
