About the Role

This pivotal role focuses on the operational responsibility for assessment implementation, development, and design across Phase 1 (Years 1 and 2) of our five-year MBBS programs delivered in London and Malta, as well as the Graduate Entry Programme (GEP). You will collaborate closely with the Head of Assessment, Principle and Senior Internal Examiners, Professional Service colleagues, MBBS Programme Lead and Deputy Leads, and MBBS Heads of Year.

Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the design and implementation of assessments across Phase 1, collaborating with module leads to ensure alignment with curriculum objectives and standards. You will analyze assessment data to provide insights for curriculum improvement and student support initiatives, and offer guidance and support on best practices in assessment. Additionally, you will deliver teaching activities within your area of expertise (Anatomy, Biology, Neuroscience or Physiology).

About You

We seek candidates with a PhD in a relevant medical or healthcare professional education discipline, and/or equivalent professional qualifications and experience. You should have demonstrable experience leading assessment activities at either year level or program level within a healthcare program. A strong understanding of assessment principles, methodologies, and best practices is essential. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools is also required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
