About the Role
This role will collaborate closely with the Institute Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Institute. You'll be responsible for overseeing HR processes within the Institute and taking the lead on health and safety requirements for office spaces.
As a leader, you will directly manage center managers and work in tandem with the Director's office team to achieve shared goals.
About the Faculty/Institute
The Blizard Institute, established in 2003, is one of six Institutes within Queen Mary University of London's Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. Comprising approximately 370 staff across four academic Centers and a Public Engagement Centre, the Institute supports over 700 postgraduate research and taught students.
The Blizard Institute is dedicated to delivering excellence in all aspects of research, teaching, and clinical service.
About You
We seek a candidate with substantial experience in Higher Education management. You'll possess proven line management skills, financial management and budgeting expertise, and familiarity with HR and recruitment processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with the capacity to work independently, are essential for success in this role.
