Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our client's sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and winning new business opportunities, developing and maintaining strong customer relationships to ensure continued profit growth for the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a well-established portfolio of accounts and identify opportunities for growth and development.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues to ensure efficient coordination of customer orders and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with the company's extensive products and packaging solutions and communicate any changes or updates to customers and internal teams.
  • Produce regular customer budget and forecast reports to inform business decisions and drive growth.
  • Actively work with manufacturing and specialist teams to develop new products that meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure the efficiency of processing orders by working directly with internal sales and customer service teams.
  • Cultivate and build strong and trusted relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues to drive business growth and success.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience working within the packaging industry, preferably with an extruded film background.
  • Proven track record of managing existing customers and developing new business opportunities.
  • Strong knowledge of sales and manufacturing processes, including CRM, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and closing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively on all levels.
  • Self-disciplined and organized, with a results-driven approach to work.
  • Fully valid UK driving license.
