Job Title: Business Development Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at Merritt Recruitment. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and managing sales pipelines, and growing existing customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and business development strategies
  • Build and manage sales pipelines, including lead generation and conversion
  • Grow existing customer relationships and increase revenue
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement sales strategies
  • Prepare sales quotes and agree terms of trade
  • Proactively seek to support and lead process improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Strong commercial and sales background, ideally gained through experience in chemical industry sales
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with stakeholders of all levels and backgrounds
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and internet-based software applications (CRM Sales Force etc...)
  • Full UK driving license and the right to work in the UK
