YASA, a leading innovator in electric motor technology, is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Test & Validation department, you will play a critical role in planning, forecasting, and scheduling all testing activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Coordination: Collaborate with Lead T&V Engineers to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and objectives.
- Test Scheduling: Manage test rig scheduling and resolve conflicts to optimize testing efficiency.
- Validation Planning: Assist in the production of validation plans and costing, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Gateway Management: Oversee the Test & Validation test process, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruptions.
- Change Request Management: Own the change request process within the Test & Validation team, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on projects.
- Test Coordination: Coordinate purchasing, procurement, BOM management, requirements coverage, and test case tracking for various DV phases.
- Test Request Review: Review Test & Validation test requests outside core DV, collaborating with the wider team on technical aspects.
- External Test Logistics: Manage external test house logistics, ensuring efficient and effective testing.
- Supplier Selection: Coordinate new test supplier selection and research, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Supplier Audits: Coordinate supplier audits with UKAS accreditation tracking, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
- Education: Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Experience: Experience as a Project Engineer in automotive or in a Project Support role.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of dynamometers and laboratory equipment and/or motor testing, MCUs, or other powertrain systems.
- Software Skills: Proficient in project management tools, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), good collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively across teams.
