Job Title: Advanced Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Pharmacist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing expert clinical pharmacy services to our patients and staff.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy practice, with experience in leading and managing clinical pharmacy services. You will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-focused pharmaceutical care, and will work closely with our multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage clinical pharmacy services, including the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to pharmacy, nursing, and medical staff on the care and treatment of patients.
  • Participate in and contribute to multidisciplinary ward rounds, antibiotic ward rounds, and other meetings as appropriate.
  • Practice as an independent prescriber, providing direct high-quality care to inpatients and outpatients within the scope of practice.
  • Ensure the appropriate and timely supply of medication to patients, including the POD scheme and discharge facilitation.
Person Specification
  • MPharm degree or equivalent.
  • Registered pharmacist with a strong background in pharmacy practice.
  • Postgraduate diploma or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Experience of multidisciplinary team working.
