Director of Building Surveying – London

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Building Surveying to join our team in London. As a key member of our building surveying team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of building surveying services to our clients in the healthcare and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of business development strategies to grow the building surveying service offering
  • Manage and execute commissions for all types of instruction, including technical delivery and client management duties
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to drive business growth and client satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and implement the company's growth strategy
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality services

Requirements:

  • BSc in building surveying or equivalent
  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
  • A minimum of 15 years' technical delivery experience gained within a construction consultancy
  • IT skills (AutoCAD, NBS, MS Project, Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Significant experience and evidence of performing in a similar role
  • Knowledge of local and national marketplace
  • Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills
  • Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, and willing to work in a mutually supportive environment
