Deputy Director Job Description

350 New Hampshire is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director to support our organizational strategy development, strategic planning, and assessment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in organizational management, with experience managing staff and overseeing human resources policies and needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of organizational strategy and strategic planning, working closely with the Executive Director and team.
  • Co-manage staff retreat planning and facilitate team-building activities.
  • Manage 1-2 full-time organizers and oversee human resources policies and needs.
  • Work with the national network to leverage national grant funding and support fundraising efforts.
  • Ensure financial management and legal compliance, with a focus on program management and organizational growth.
Requirements:
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant program or organizational management experience, with experience managing staff.
  • Enthusiasm for fundraising and a demonstrable track record of raising money for a nonprofit organization.
  • Strong writing skills and grant writing experience preferred.
  • Anti-racism and anti-oppression training experience.
  • Willingness to learn new technology and access to a car/driver's license.
  • Experience working with communities most impacted by the climate crisis and a commitment to social justice.
