About the Role:

Amazon Data Services UK Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Manager to oversee the physical security of our EMEA Non-Traditional Environment (NTE) Data Centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the on-site operational physical security of our NTE Data Centers, ensuring the safety and security of our facilities and assets.
  2. Develop and implement comprehensive security protocols, including access control systems, guard force management, and incident reporting.
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with Amazon's security policies and procedures.
  4. Supervise employees and contractors performing specific security objectives and monitor vendor performance.
  5. Work with peers in other geographic regions and travel as required to ensure consistency and best practices in security management.
  6. Compile concise and accurate security reports to inform business decisions.
  7. Create and manage key performance metrics to measure security effectiveness.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with security service providers to ensure seamless security operations.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of security operations experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience working with security service providers and security software systems.
  • Working knowledge of video surveillance equipment and security risk assessments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal certifications in security management, such as Certified Protection Officer (CPO) or Physical Security Professional (PSP).
  • Experience working in a high-security environment and performing security risk assessments.
