Shift Leader Job Description

We're looking for a skilled Shift Leader to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service and store operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of store activities, including running duty shifts and coordinating a team to deliver a clean and full store that exceeds customer expectations.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching and feedback to team members to improve service and store performance.
  • Monitor and manage store operations, including stock replenishment, customer service, and store safety.
  • Support the Store Manager in managing absence, conducting return-to-work interviews, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Build meaningful relationships with Area Managers and People Partners to ensure effective communication and support.
Requirements:
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of retail operations and customer service principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
