About the Role

As a Defined Contribution Consultant, you'll play a pivotal role in guiding clients through the complexities of UK pension schemes. You'll be responsible for building strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and developing tailored solutions that meet their specific objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and nurture client relationships, ensuring their requirements are understood and met effectively.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of market trends, regulatory frameworks, and best practices within the Defined Contribution (DC) pension sector.
  • Conduct in-depth investment strategy modeling to identify suitable investment approaches aligned with each client's unique membership profile.
  • Propose and implement appropriate investment structures, taking into account individual client circumstances and preferences.
  • Lead investment manager selection processes and guide clients through the evaluation of DC providers, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Provide support on various projects, including master trust and GPP reviews and selections.
  • Prepare high-quality advice that adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, mentoring and guiding other team members.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Possess relevant qualifications such as FIA, FFA, or CFA, or be actively pursuing them.
  • Demonstrate proven experience working within the UK DC pension scheme advisory sector in a consultancy setting.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Display strong commercial acumen and an understanding of market dynamics.
