About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate clinician to join our team as an Adult Mental Health Practitioner - Specialist Intensive Home Treatment Service. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career and make a powerful impact on the lives of young people when they need it most.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and intensive support for young people with mental health needs who present high levels of risk
  • Support assessment prior to admission to inpatient care, where required
  • Deliver planned intensive home or community-based treatment services, as well as specialist intensive home treatment for young people whose needs exceed the threshold for Tier 3 CAMHS
  • Support discharge to facilitate timely discharge from hospital
  • Support the reduction of health inequalities in children and young people's mental health pathways
Key Skills and Experience
  • Professional Qualification at first degree level or equivalent
  • Completion of further post-qualification specialist training at post-graduate level
  • Experience of specialist mental health assessment and treatment of children and adolescents and their families/carers where appropriate as a full member of a multi-disciplinary team located in community, primary care, outpatients or inpatient settings
  • Experience of working with a wide variety of children, adolescents and their families/carers across the whole range and presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity
About Us

We are a specialist intensive home treatment service that supports young people with acute mental health problems in their homes by providing intensive input and support using a bespoke package of care tailored to each young person's needs.

We operate 365 days a year from 8am-8pm to offer flexibility to young people at times when they need it the most. Our teams work in an integrated way, supporting one another to provide the service either remotely or sometimes by crossing borders into another trust's area.

This means that a young person's needs are not restricted by boundaries, staff sickness has less of an impact on service delivery and young people receive a better service wherever they live.
